Kitchen Tiling and Extractor Fitting

In accordance with the impending new healthy home regulations, we need to fit an kitchen extractor to our rental property. We also need tiling around the freestanding stove as the paint is getting quite damaged and clearly hard to keep clean. There is two difficulties with the tiling and proper stove hood extractor: There is no gap allowing for tiling, so may need to alter hot water cupboard to increase stove slot width. And a proper stove extractor hood may not be possible, and would need the existing window pelmet to go, and then remediation of whatever is found underneath. The alternative would be just a good quality extractor fan. I would suggest taking the tiling across the wall from behind the stove, across behind the sink top to under the wall cupboard dividing the kitchen with the living area at the height of the bottom of this cupboard. There is quite a few different parts to the work, and I need minimum disruption to the tenants. I do have a small piece should the lino under the stove need replacing. We can source and provide tiles where dimensions and quantity is specified.
