We bought a property in Karori a few years ago with a woodburner in it. We now wish to sell the property and have found out that the woodburner was not consented, so we are seeking to get a certificate of acceptance. The woodburner appears to be installed well and has been regularly serviced. We have little in the way of documentation for the woodburner, but need to be able to provide basic information such as make/model/flue/flue flashing/floorplan/smoke alarm positions - some of which we can easily do - but in order to complete the application for the certificate of acceptance we have been advised to get assistance from someone with more experience in planning, consenting and installation of woodburners to help us.
