I have granny flat attached to the main dwelling. It's has its only entrance, separate electricity and water metre. For renting purpose, I added a little kitchenette lately. Tried to get a property manager to rent it out for me but they said I will need to get a permit for the add-on. Spoke to council who advised that I do not need a consent, but will need to speak to a planner. Can someone help here?
