Earthquake Repairs

We own a rental property which suffered mainly cosmetic damages from the Christchurch Earthquakes. We have been paid out by EQC and we are currently looking for quotes to get our earthquake repairs done. Our rental property is a 2 storey 3 bedroom unit (110sqm including garage) among a group of 8, of which 6 are connected to each other. The units were built in 1997 and the exterior walls are a plaster/rockcote like cladding. There are some cracks in the cladding but majority of the work is to do with the interior. As per our scope of work we require the following repairs – Kitchen/Dining/Lounge/Laundry Nook (approx 25 – 30sqm) • Plaster and paint walls • Replace and rehang door frames (1 x internal & 1 x external) • Replace and paint trim Single Garage (with internal access) • Plaster and paint walls • Grind out and epoxy fill cracks on concrete floor Stairwell and Hallway • Plaster and paint walls and ceiling • Gap fill and paint stringers on internal stairs Hallway Cupboard (i.e. hot water cylinder/linen cupboard) • Paint walls • Remove, dispose, replace gib, stop and under coat hole in wall Bedroom 1, 2 & 3 (approx 10 – 12sqm each) • Plaster and paint walls and ceiling Bathroom (approx. 4sqm) • Plaster and paint ceilings Exterior Walls • Gap fill and paint wall cladding We require a quote for the above repairs and if we are happy with the quote we are able to proceed with the repairs as soon as possible as we have the funds already.
