I am getting conflicting advice on whether I need consent to re-clad my home. It is a 1970s single level weatherboard house with original cladding and timber windows. There was an addition put on in the 1980s (long before I bought the house). Given its age, the cladding has served its time and really needs to be replaced. Firstly I was advised I didn't need consent, then a different LBP thought I did so I contacted a draughtsperson about the process and was advised that I do not need consent given it is over 15yrs and I am replacing with new weatherboards. So firstly I would like to know for certain whether I do need consent, and if so, I would like a quote on what it would likely cost to obtain. Thanks
