Finish off dishwasher installation - water inlet tap

I recently purchased a new dishwasher. The dishwasher has been partially installed. Partially installed by Noel Leeming who couldn't connect the water inlet tap due to it being on an awkward angle. Partially installed by me because I sourced a 20mm elbow joint in order to connect the dishwasher hose to the inlet tap which I thought would do the job. However, when I now turn on the inlet tap the water is now leaking out of the tap. It might need a new tap, it might just need a new washer. The tap is on an awkward angle in a restricted space and its near some electrical plugs so I thought it's time to call in a plumber.
