Supply cold water to laundry

Our laundry has a single water supply which is currently hot. We'd prefer to have cold water, or perhaps both. Due to limited access under the house, easiest option might be to disconnect hot water supply at source and connect it to a cold supply. Photos show underfloor area between gas water unit(right hand photo with yellow gas line) and towards the laundry area.
