Replacing Existing Toilet

Job: Replace existing toilet and advice on which new toilet design to purchase (with emphasis on efficacy over aesthetics!). Timing: Sometime within the next fortnight or so. Reason: Existing toilet design seems to lead to poor flush (water doesn't reach around entire perimeter, toilet doesn't always clear) despite large of amount of water. Problem has existed since we first purchased the property and a previous plumber advised there was no problem with the operation of the toilet per se (just poor design)
