Showerhead leaking, not sure why

Shower head is leaking. Ideally a plumber can come and assess what could be causing it and advise on a solution then fix it. I have already tried putting a different shower head on but that didn't work. May as well replace the lever that turns the shower on too while we're at it - it has broken a bit in the plastic handle and is pretty old.
