We're going to put a new rangehood in our kitchen and need it vented outside. This needs to be done up through the roof as it's not on an external wall and there's no ceiling cavity. The roof is metal long run and is almost flat, so it would need a chimney installed with waterproofing. I've been told this might work a plumber would do because of the flashing/waterproofing required. The photo attached shows the existing rangehood which just recirculates the air.
