Job description

Drainlaying
Southland

There are existing water and wastewater connections already available that will have serviced the house/property previously, please refer to aerial photo screenshot. A 100mm earthenware wastewater pipe is shown to enter the property at the western boundary (red dashed line) and 15mm copper water service at the eastern end (blue dashed line). On the southern boundary a 600mm stormwater pipe (green line) traverses the full length of the land and discharges into the neighbouring paddock. It is not clear if there is an existing stormwater connection to the property off this line. A file note dated 16 March 2003 references that the sewer pipe is broken and blocked inside the property and unclear if that has since been repaired. It is recommended a registered drainlayer inspect, report and effect any repairs that may be required to deem the dwelling habitable with a sealed wastewater pipe. The gully traps should also be inspected for compliance with the Building Act at the same time.
