Job description

Renovation & Repair
Rodney

1970s 2 storey property at Whangaparaoa. Problem 1: A round PVC gutter downpipe is leaking heavily at an old (original?) brown square fitting where the sealant has failed around the fitting. My efforts with leak stop tape were completely unsuccessful. Problem 2: The downpipe connects to a 12m long horizontal pipe passing through the space between the upper & lower levels of the house to feed rainwater into a tank at the front of the house. The amount of water leakage at the old joint, even in light to moderate rain, makes me wonder if there is a blockage in the 12m horizontal pipe. Task 1 – fix the leak/replace the old fitting in problem 1 above. Task 2 – Check the 12m horizontal pipe in Problem 2 above for any blockage & clear if necessary. Photos are attached.
