Unknown water leak

Need to identify where a water leak is coming from - damp carpet spot in the middle of the lounge floor - no water spots on ceiling. Dries slowly but when it rains it becomes damp again. Have filed a claim with my insurance company but they want me to have a plumber come in first to look at it. Sorry photo is not good quality.
