Disconnecting old gas heaters

I have two gas heaters in the house that I would like removed as part of renos. The mm first one I want doing is this gas one in the hallway. I want it removed, and for you to not see the metal bit coming from the floor. The one in the fireplace isn't urgent, but I figure. If you are coming it might be easier to do them at the same time. With that one, my Intention is to remove the fireplace and just have a gib wall. The gas has been disconnected, according to a tag on the box outside. But as I have a young child I want to ensure this work is done safely. Affordability helps too as I'm a single mum. In no big rush to do these so can happily work around your other jobs. Would love an idea of costs though. Thanks
