Job description

Drainlaying
North Shore

This is an urgent job. Requirement is to open up a 35-40 cm trench, through tarmac seal layer, alongside 40 year old warehouse block wall, to a depth of perhaps 50 cms, over a length of approximately 5 metres initially (against a total length of wall of 19.5 mtrs) to investigate extent of degradation of waterproofing of exterior of thee rear block wall of a commercial building with a below-ground level basement area internally. It is important that the trench is opened up with care not to further degrade existing waterproofing of the block wall. Water leaks during some heavy rainfall have revealed an intermittent and event-driven' leak through the block-wall directly related to actual rainfall, and not ground-water seeping. The initial job will may grow in extent (length and depth - depending on what is uncovered) , and will certainly require back-fill and re-seal in due course.

Investigation trench revealed need for renewal of waterproofing of 30 x 2 metre below-ground concrete block warehouse wall. Initial competent work lead to Scott a Beckett being engaged to complete the job. He managed/coordinated the various subcontractors needs (water-proofing, protective membrane supply & installation, materials & spoil transport, re-asphalting) effectively, keeping owner and warehouse tenant fully informed. Project completed to estimated costs. A very effective outcome.
