Replace low-pressure HWC with a high pressure HWC OR Fix pump

Hi - I have a 1975 house with a low pressure HWC and a pressure-activated pump to make sure I get decent water flow to the bathroom and shower. However, the pump does not activate when the kitchen hot water tap opens and only activates when the bathroom tap is open simultaneously. I request advice on the best solution. Either replace pump with a better trigger mechanism to work on all hot water taps individually OR replace the whole setup with a high pressure Hot Water Cylinder (the more expensive solution and therefore the least preferred) Please help me.
