Fixing Hot water cylinder overflow

Our hot water overflow pipe on the roof (from electric hot water cylinder) overflows quite often, its more than usual. Need someone to have a look and fix if needed. Might need to install a valve on the top end of the pipe or might just need setting the pressure right. Please text with estimate. Cheers
