Replace existing toilet and potentially put a new one in the laundry

My parents have two toilet jobs: 1) replace the existing toilet (install a brand new one to replace the current one) and 2) look at potentially installing a new toilet in the laundry, if it’s easy enough to do. The first job would ideally happen in next couple of days (I know, sorry, short notice - this may be unrealistic), and it would be good to chat through how easy the second job might be when doing the first one (and then taking it from there if it’s easy enough to do).
