Hot Water tank install

Current hot water gas infinity also have a random electric hot water tank. We need the infinity decommissioned and gas connection removed. We would like to get some advice about whether the existing hot water tank is safe to use (Pics are of the existing electric tank - located in the garage at end of house away from most hot water needs) We'd also like advice about installing a new electric hot water tank as well as solar panel electricity diverter.
