Leaking basin tap in bathroom

Got a leaking cold water tap in bathroom Tryed to fix it but couldn't As the hot water cylinder in right outside the bathroom window outside not sure if the pressure to much for the taps or have to replace the taps Was hoping to be under 200 dollars that's all I have
