Replace toilet and cistern

Hi there we have a 50's house and the toilet is looking a bit worse for wear. It looks at though the toilet has a breather pipe directly off it (see photos) so unsure what that means for a new toilet installation as I've not noticed that in other houses before. Once you can let us know if it makes a difference we will whip down to Bunnings and grab a toilet and cistern for you to install.
