The existing connection is about 50 years old, runs underneath a row of trees, and leaking, so we're looking to have a new mains water connection starting at the meter, trenching down the middle of an unsealed driveway for a distance of about 75m meters. At that point we want an in-ground lidded box installed with a shut-off valve, and connect to the existing pipe that takes the water the last few meters to the house. The existing connection for the neighbouring property (#6) runs in the same trench as ours (and the two water meters share the same in-ground box), so we want to run 2 new pipes down the same trench as well. The pipe for #6 will continue on above ground (along the bottom of a fence) for an additional 10-20 meters.
