I would like my earthquake damaged chimney removed to at least below ceiling level, and the affected area of my corrugated iron roof replaced. House has been EQC inspected - they have advised me to go ahead and get the work done as the chimney is a hazard. The chimney is broken at roof level, and the section above is intact and solid, so it may require a crane to remove it (single storey building). There is a metal flue in the chimney. Would also be interested in a separate quote to remove the chimney entirely, and associated building and plumbing work (there is a wet-back on the ild chip heater in the fireplace, and the hot water cylinder may need shifting).
