Laundry washing machine and drier drainage

We have removed the laundry tub and bought a washing machine and drier which we have drained through a pipe as per picks. The drier has only been used once as its newer than the washing machine. We had to force it into the pipe as there wasnt much room to squeeze it in. We noticed some moisture on the floor when we used the drier and so we have taped it up to stop the leaking but it needs to look more professional and it needs checking that there aren't any leaks.
