Replace Galvanised Pipes with PEX
Job description
I would like to get a quote for re-plumbing our house. Currently, our house has approximately 30-40 m of galv pipe that needs to be removed, and I would like it replaced with PEX. I have already purchased PEX pipe (Rifeng brand) and the bulk of the fittings - and would like the quote to include the cost of installation only. The project would include the following components: Relocate bath taps (and install pipe to their new location) New laundry tap terminations Relocate laundry drain and allow for sink/washing machine terminations. New kitchen tap terminations/install kitchen mixer New bathroom tap terminations Pipes installed to 3 locations for outdoor hose connections. Two of these locations have existing galv pipe running to them that would need to be replaced. I will remove the cladding in the laundry and bathroom if necessary so new pipes can be installed more easily. Our house was built in late 1950’s or early 1960’s. The whole house is on a single level, and there is approximately 5m between the laundry, bathroom & kitchen. There is fairly good space under the house, with a polyethylene layer on the ground making it easy to move around. I can provide a basic sketch of the layout on request however it is probably easier to inspect on site prior to quoting. I expect for a project like this it is easier to provide hourly rate & general estimate of hours required - however please suggest alternative arrangements if you think it would be easier.
