Hi, I am renovating and altering a house (1959) and have purchased a second hand mains pressure HWC which I need plumbed into the existing water piping for the time being until I get around to the wet areas. I'ved purchased the valve kit, pressure relief valve, safety tray and some 40mm waste for that drain, etc, so it's a part labour-only part you supply the remainder of the bute piping, 20mm copper for the HWC relief and so on. I know that there will be no guarantee on the HWC and I'd manage any warranty issues with the valve set (Apex) and so on, so it'll only be workmanshiip and guarantee on items you supply. Sounds messy, but actually pretty straightforward. No floor, wall or ceiling cladding currently in much of the house so it's easy to run piping, almost as a new house. Except for the hard rimu timber... I'd decommsion the header tank and any old piping. As a sweetener you could have the old copper tank for nothing if they're still worthwhile recycling.
