At our brand new house, we have fairly dense clay soil, so after it rains we have surface water ponding for many days. We took it upon ourselves to hire a post hole borer and dig dry wells that we'll fill with gravel, to aid in drainage. Unfortunately we bored 2 of these holes too close to the house, and have severed our storm water line that runs off the roof of our house in two places about 3m apart. We have confirmed it is OUR storm water line and not anything else by looking at our plans - something we should have done before we started boring. We're in a brand new subdivision, so there's no concern about it being council systems or something belonging to another house. So we now need someone to repair the sections that we have bored through. Hopefully this can be done as 2 trenches and repairing the pipe in 2 places, rather than needing to dig up a long trench to replace the 3m length. There is easy access for a digger or other earthmoving equipment if required.
