The exterior cladding near the roof of my concrete block garage at 10A Hobson St, Thorndon is showing cracking and flaking, with chunks of plaster/cement falling into the adjoining property (12E). A concrete specialist has assessed the situation as follows: "This appears to be more of a cementitious plaster issue then concrete. It would best to get in touch with a plastering company as they would be better equipped to help here. Likely solution would be to square off defecting plaster and remove, install joint tape along the joint and replaster. Alternatively, they may look at installing a control joint within the plaster during the reinstatement stage." I would like someone to look into this for me, please, and propose a solution.
