Mark completed a on site, site survey and delivered the quotation via builderscrack. He was granted the job to plaster and stop renovation works at our home for the amount of $800.00 GST inclusive. He quoted the job at $800.00 inc GST we accepted and he started the next day. Mark completed about 5 hours work applying top coats to the majority of the areas requiring stopping. On his return to site this morning he first voiced that the quote should of been + GST not inclusive so I thought that this was a fair mistake and agreed to the price change of $800.00 + GST or $920.00 Inclusive. Several minutes later he returned to me to discuss the job and claimed that he had quoted incorrectly and that he would require more money as its going to take longer than he first thought. I asked him to quantify this but he did not provide an answer. I then offered a further $400.00 + GST (over 50% more than the original provided quote) but in line with the most exspensive quote I received for the job. He then went outside and carried on pottering about for about 1/4 of an hour while my wife and I applied drop sheets to furniture etc. He then come back into the house and explained that he would not complete the job. In a nut shell he left the job incomplete, in what kind of state I do not know even leaving a bag of rubbish in my front garden. We strongly recommend that you do not use.
