The surface of the wall is currently very uneven. Sections of wallpaper were ripped off at some point, possibly a new layer of wallpaper was pasted over the top and then it's been painted over. I think the solution I need is to get a new skim coat over the whole wall but obviously I'm not a professional so advice is definitely welcome. It's probably not a very big job. The total length of the wall is 3-4 meters and it's not a high ceiling (2.4m?).

From listing the job to getting someone working on site was under 12 hours - great stuff. Overall, the job took longer than we'd hoped but that really came down to the fact that plaster doesn't dry quickly in the middle of winter. The tradesmen did a good job and the quality of finish was very good.
