Ceiling plaster repair around light after water damage

In the Kitchen - Plaster Ceiling around light fixture needs repair/replace taking care with the left hand light fixture. The right one is fine. Cause of leakage has been repaired but plaster got sodden and is spongy around the left hand light fixture - needs replacing. Not sure extent of plaster that needs replacing.
