ceiling gib repair

I was up in the ceiling checking a roof leak and put too much weight on the ceiling gib board. I didn't put my knee all the way through but it has torn the gib paper. See photos attached below. Ideally, I'm looking for a clever gib repair, plaster and repaint job that does not involve fitting a new sheet of gib in the ceiling.
