Straighten TV recess

I have 2 recesses either side of a fireplace that were designed to fit shelves. The=se have been installed with the back +/- 10 mm wider than the front so I cannot put shelves in them.can they be made square? the recess are 1732 mm high --- wide and 362 deep and 1440 mm high, --- wideand 367 deep
