Ceiling damage fix

We have a damaged ceiling with some cracks appearing. It's soft enough that you can put your finger through it in places, but it is dry. We believe we've fixed the cause of the leak in the roof but we need to fix the plasterboard. We've been recommended that we need to cut away some of the board and replace those parts.
