water damage - wall repair

I have found water damage in a downstairs bedroom wall underneath window. Unsure what the cause is however at this stage Im guessing the window, although there is nothing obvious. Plaster board was quite damp and speckled with mold under paper, have dried out a bit with dehumidifier It has also caused damage to the carpet which will need replacing (quotes underway). Looking for a trades person to investigate issue and advise remedy. Will require the work to be documented for insurance claim purposes. Work will need to be completed speedily as carpet laying will be lined up to follow and baby needs to move back into room.
