Gib repair job

We previously had an issue with a water leak that damaged an area of gib (700mm x 200mm) in our bedroom. While the leak was fixed by the developers builder the finish of the repair was not good so it’s not smooth and consistent with the rest of the wall so when it was painted you can still see the outline of where the repair was made. It’s only noticeable in certain lights so hard to take a photo. The house is 9 years old and we are looking to put it on the market soon so are hoping we could get it fixed in the next 2-3 weeks.
