paint and remove textured ceilings

Wanting the textured ceiling to be removed in 2 rooms in a house we purchased last year. No asbestos in the ceilings just 40 years old and starting to crumble. Need the texture to be removed and ceilings re painted. 1 bedroom and 1 rumpus room - each double bedroom size.
