Fix a hole in the ceiling- urgent

I have a small but urgent job. I need a new piece of plasterboard to fill a whole in the ceiling, and a small section of damaged wall. This part of the job would be quick but I need it done a.s.a.p. because I have a painter waiting to start. Further work that needs to be done on the site - a couple of planks of wood on the wooden floor need to be replaced, and a small enclosed patio (c. 1 sq. m) needs to be built.
