Small water damage repair to wall above a door frame

I have a Small water damage repair to be done to jib, and top of the door frame. A portion of the timber you can see in the photo will need to be cut out and replaced as this has softened. After fixing this small area will need to be plastered. I will take care of repainting. Area is 700mm long and 300 wide (deep?) So not big at all. Looking for the most cost efficient option under $250.
