Plasterboard repair

We have a small defect in the gib of a ceiling related to a previous roof leak which has since been resolved. (See photo). We also have a piece of gib which comes down from the ceiling in front of the front door which we would like removed and any gib repairs required completed. (See photo). Ideally we would like this completed asap.
