The areas needing treatment and other requirements are listed below. Subfloor - Timbers under the floor may need to have a spray treatment due to moderate-severe levels of borer activity in the understructure. It is recommended that all accessible sub structure timbers be treated. Roof void - Timbers in the roof cavity may to have a spray treatment due to moderate-severe levels of borer activity in the roof cavity. If the access is good, it is recommended that all accessible roof structure timbers be treated. Exterior Trim - Borer activity was found in the exterior trim (front door/side of house) it is recommended that this is treated by pressure injecting the boron solution into the old flight holes and any exposed surfaces. Also check all the exterior areas and treat as required. Treatment method (exposed timbers) - Spray treatment with a residual spray, which will be applied till just above runoff to all bear timbers to kill eggs, larvae and adults in the flight seasons to come (next 10years). Person who does the work must be a fully qualified and Registered Technician and Approved Handler for the chemicals used. They must also issue a 10-year certificate of treatment upon completion of the work for the Sub-floor and interior areas (and on receipt of payment). Thanks.
