Insect Revenge

Recently shifted into new house (about 3 years old) and keep finding too many little jumping spiders, and on hot sunny afternoons the windows facing the sun get swarmed with tiny little flying insects about 2mm long and not much wider than a strand of hair. They somehow get through the closed windows, so are impossible to keep out. Fed up with using fly spray all the time, or sucking them up with the vacuum cleaner, so wondering if there might be a more permanent solution.
