Pest Control in Roof Space - Birds/Nest Removal

I hear scurrying and bird related noises in my roof space. I want the birds and their nests removed and the small opening to be closed off with any waste matter cleaned and removed as well. I do not believe it is rats or mice as the sounds are only in the morning/day and sounds like small birds. Any mess or builder's work associated with the works is to be made good. I suspect a small entry hole may need to be covered up with some mesh or equivalent to stop the birds coming back in.
