Spray Paint Kitchen Cabinets

My husband has built our new kitchen, and started the spray painting with a good, two pack paint specially for kitchen cabinets. He has now decided it's not really his forte, but it's still sitting in the garage half done. All cabinets are assembled - not in panels. Some parts are undercoated, some are undercoated and one top coat, and some are bare (not started). Not sure if our spray gear is ok for the job. We have a compressor to run air lines.
