Ceilings to be painted; houselot
Job description
We would like a quote from a registered painter please for preparing, and painting 2 coats of ceiling white, throughout an empty house in Pyes Pa starting June 22nd. The ceilings are already painted white, but need refreshing for new owners. The area is 200sq metres. This job has been edited after visitng the house this past weekend; a builder will be in first to remove a wall and some "Fake pillars" and will be on site with other jobs but will not impend painter's access.

This job was totally unsatisfactory. No sanding or proper preparation was done, holes were left unfilled and painted over. The paint has runs, and over spray resulted in paint drift onto tiles, mirror, heated towel rails, windows and vanity units.Paint began to peel off in sheets within days of finishing. Martin returned to start to repairand restore the job to an acceptable level, but left after 2 hours, and has not been seen since. 2 doors have been ruined in an attempt to fix.We have since received a quote from another painter to fix a botched job.That quote is for 2800, and doesn't include 2 new doors. Martin is not registered with The Master Painters Guild. We regret totally having this painter in; we now have a bigger job as carpet has since been laid and furniture moved into what was an empty house when Martin did the job. We only asked for the ceiling to be done, but he offered to do architraves, doors and skirting boards, hence the difference in quote price.He has posted us a chq for $450 and stated he will not be returning to finish due to an overseas death in the family.,
