Paint popcorn ceiling #2

I'd like to paint 12.6m2 of kitchen ceiling (and perimeter beam/ trim, 3.5m x 3.6m) a lighter white, and re-texture about 1m2 of ceiling where a pantry and nib wall were removed recently. With low-VOC paint if possible. Might expand job to include 30m2 living/dining popcorn ceiling too? (and see small bathroom wallpaper job posted.) A small sample of the ceiling texture was tested and found it didn't contain asbestos (house built 1973).
