We are getting our house plastered next week and are looking for a painter who can paint the newly plastered walls and existing ceilings (which are a mix of plaster finish in some rooms and pinex in others). There will be an open plan dining, lounge, kitchen (all to be done in 1/8 Thorndon Cream), and one bedroom (in 1/2 Slipstream) and two bedrooms (in 1/2 Concrete). (hallway, bathroom, laundry, entranceway and spare bedroom already done). We would also like the existing skirting and door architraves to be painted white. They are currently varnished. There are 8 varnished wooden curtain pelmets we would also like painted white. The house is fairly small at around 110 square metres. We estimate the floor area of the rooms that need to be painted to be somewhere around 60 square metres. If possible we are looking for someone who can start the week of the 22nd January although can be a little flexible with start time. Ideally we would like it finished by 10 March so we can get new carpet laid that week.

Got Tony and his team to paint most of the interior of the house. Tony knows his stuff, addressed issues quickly. In the quote, he had missed one room but absorbed the majority of those costs rather than pass on to us. Ceilings and walls were done to a high standard. Architraves and units were done well although a couple of areas missed their final coat but the overall quality was lower than hoped for with paint splatter and smudges on oiled surfaces.

"The workmanship review is disappointing and we have addressed the issue. One of our contractors wan't up to par and we have since stopped using him."
