Paint two story house exterior

We need to paint the exterior of our house. It's been a while since it was done, so possibly it may need to be stripped back. We are looking for feedback on whether that is necessary or not. I don't see any weatherboard damage, but there are a few areas that look like they may need a bit of work. The house is 2 storey on slightly sloped section, about 220 sq/m and in a box shape. Easy access off the road. Scaffolding will be needed. We are looking for quotes on just doing the top storey, and a separate quote for also including the bottom storey. Looking to get the work done before winter, but are open to timeframes.
