Job description

Exterior Painting
North Shore

My house was repainted over summer by myself. There is one elevation of the house I ran out of time for. I have all the required paint to complete - but no annual leave to finish this off. The section for completion is on the western face of the home above the garage roofline. This side of the house is the highest as the section is sloping. I am looking to have the remainder of the green barge board painted over in Zylone Sheen Black White (Approx 12 lineal metres of barge board and @ approx 200mm wide). The fibroclad painted over with 2-3 thick coatings of Lumbersider 1/8 Thorndon Cream (maybe 15m2 area). 1 coat over the balance of the brown brick with DyeBrick LimeLike Dark Ash (about 3m2 of coverage - nb this is an imported product to stain brick without sealing the moisture transfer of the brick cladding system - it paints on like a stain) I have all the required paint/brick stain to complete the works on site. My method for the barge board was a light scrape and sand of for prep, then 2 coats of primer to bleach out the green followed by 2 coats Zylone sheen. With the fibro - I didn't want to disturb it so just thick lumbersider coats. The complications for the balance are: Height (green barge board peaks at 7.5m above ground). Cladding is fibrolite - hence the nil prep, just thick application approach. Barge board degradation - a small section of barge at the toe looks to be rotted beyond filling. A 500mm length would probably have to be replaced and a soaker on the join. My initial plan was either a) Climb onto the roof, anchor and tether. b) Get a small cherry picker in and plant it in front of the garage door (There is only approx --- in front of the garage for the picker though.) c) scaffold - which I saw as a bit of a pain for small areas of coverage, but it may be deemed necessary. Works and measurement include all the pictured bargeboard and guttering that is currently green. Exclusions are the green garage door itself - which I can sort out over a weekend. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Francisco was very prompt to undertake a site visit and quote the works. He always showed up when he said he would and on the time the works were rained out he let me know straight away. His work was excellent as was his communication. I would definitely recommend him.
