Painting

I have an older ex-statehouse bungalow with original concrete tiles circa 1960 that I would like to see whether the roof tiles can be treated and painted to have more modern appeal. I've been told the tiles could easily break if walked on, but I'm thinking a scizzor lift or jib may help with achieving the final look we are after. There is a little moss in some areas, not much at all - but it will need a water blast for prep, then painted. Obviously an all purpose tile paint would need to be spray applied unless you have another approach that may be more suitable. House is 110 m2.
